The Restaurateurs’ Appreciation Soirée, themed Service Stays – Hospitality Soars, hosted by Capital Hotel School on Tuesday, 19 May, was a roaring success.

We were truly delighted by the overwhelming turnout of our favourite restaurateurs, food and beverage managers, sommeliers, chefs, and hospitality professionals who joined us in celebrating the CHS Silver Jubilee. It was made even more special as the Tshwane Tourism Association also celebrates its 25th anniversary this year – making it a wonderful double celebration for the hospitality and tourism industry.
We extend our sincere thanks to the owners and representatives of the following restaurants who joined us. Your presence, support, and passion for hospitality made the afternoon truly unforgettable: BAH Parilla, Blue Crane Restaurant, Brasserie de Paris, Buffelsfontein Beesboerdery, Capital Craft Beer Academy, Capito, Caraffa Restaurant, CSIR, Forti Too Grill & Bar, Klein Kaap Boutique Hotel, Lesi Restaurant, Lucky Bread Company, Moonshot Café, Pasta Barra, PLTFRM Wolwespruit, Priva Gastronomic Lounge, Prosopa, Sprig Catering Company, Tasha’s Menlyn Main, The Tasting Room, Upper East Side, Vee & Forti Wine Bar & Liquor Emporium, and Villa San Giovanni.
The afternoon featured inspiring guest speakers, engaging and thought-provoking discussions, exciting (and exclusive) new hospitality offerings, meaningful networking opportunities with fellow restaurateurs, and a delectable menu perfectly paired with superior wines from the Antonij Rupert collection. Most importantly, it offered hospitality professionals the rare opportunity to step away from the daily rush of service and simply enjoy being celebrated themselves.
A room filled with passionate “Hospitilitarians” – a fitting new term for those devoted to the art of Unreasonable Hospitality – created an atmosphere of warmth, camaraderie, exceptional food, and fine wine that will be remembered long after the final toast was made.
Here’s to service that stays, hospitality that soars, and an industry that continues to inspire and delight the senses.
