A Celebration of Hospitality, Partnership and Shared Purpose
We were truly delighted by the overwhelming turnout at our Tshwane GMs and Hospitality Professionals’ Appreciation Soirée, hosted on Tuesday, 9 June 2026 in celebration of Capital Hotel School’s Silver Jubilee.
The occasion was made even more special as the Tshwane Tourism Association also celebrates its 25th anniversary this year – creating a wonderful double celebration for the hospitality and tourism industry in our Capital City. We sincerely hope that establishments who are not yet members of the Tshwane Tourism Association will consider joining this valuable network. We firmly believe that, together, we can strengthen and grow the hotel and hospitality fraternity of Tshwane while showcasing the incredible culinary talent, service excellence, diversity, and warm hospitality our city has to offer.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the following General Managers, owners, industry leaders, and hospitality professionals who joined us on the day – ANEW Hotel Capital; City Lodge Lynnwood; Court Classique Suite Hotel; African Sky Hotels and Resorts (also represented FEDHASA); Hotel 224; Kievits Kroon Gauteng Wine Estate (Pty) Ltd; Manhattan Hotel; The Pretoria Hotel; Road Lodge Centurion; Southern Sun Pretoria; Stay @ Menlyn; The Capital Menlyn Maine; CSIR ICC; Menlyn Boutique Hotel; CT Hotel; Diep In Die Berg; Tshwane Tourism Association; 3@Marion; Royal Cullinan Diamond Lodge; Carousel World; Kwalata Game Lodge; Steyn City Hotel; Saxon Hotel, Villas and Spa; Cullinan Tourism Association; Dinokeng Tourism Association; SAACI.
Your presence, support and passion for our industry made the afternoon truly unforgettable.
For us at Capital Hotel School, this event was also a meaningful token of appreciation for the work-integrated learning opportunities you continue to create for our students. Because of committed industry partners like you, we can uphold the high standards of our chef and hospitality management qualifications, while preparing the next generation of hospitality professionals with confidence, skill, and purpose.
We are equally grateful for your ongoing generosity and sponsorship of our events and celebrations over the years, as well as your continued investment in our training programmes to upskill and multi-skill your staff. Together, we are making a real difference in many lives and contributing to the future strength of our industry.
The afternoon featured inspiring guest speakers, engaging and thought-provoking discussions, and valuable conversations around Tshwane community and tourism initiatives, collaborative opportunities to uplift our city, the responsible use of AI to enhance guest relations, and exciting new hospitality offerings. Meaningful networking with fellow General Managers and hospitality professionals, paired with a delectable menu and superior wines from the Iona collection, made for a truly memorable occasion.
One of the most exciting outcomes of the day was the birth of a new initiative: a platform for General Managers to meet twice annually on neutral ground to share challenges, explore solutions and support one another in the ever-demanding hospitality industry. Watch this space.
As we look back on this special gathering, we are reminded that hospitality is built on people, partnership, and purpose. Thank you to every guest, partner and friend of Capital Hotel School who continues to believe in the power of collaboration. Together, we are not only celebrating 25 years of excellence – we are shaping the next chapter of hospitality in Tshwane.
We look forward to seeing you all at the glamourous Tshwane Tourism Awards evening on 22 August. Let’s come together to support the finalists, celebrate the winners, and show our pride in the incredible talent driving Tshwane’s tourism and hospitality industry forward. Are you up for the challenge?
