Ronel decided to pursue her real passion and in 2001 launched Capital Hotel School (CHS) in Pretoria. CHS North West Campus was launched early September 2017 and she visualises to increase the CHS footprint in SA and neighbouring countries. Ronel chaired the Travel Trade Sports and Social Committee, as well as SKAL International. She is an honorary Bailli of the Pretoria Bailliage of Châine des Rôtisseurs, an international society devoted to choice dining and the camaraderie of the table and a coach at Lifework Leadership. She believes firmly in the anonymous saying that we are very apt to measure ourselves by our aspiration instead of our performance. But in truth the conduct of our lives is the only proof of the sincerity of our hearts.
After Simoné completed her International Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management at Varsity College in 2002, she embarked on her lifelong dream of travelling and gaining the most valuable experience at numerous Hotels and establishments all over the United Kingdom from as far as The Shetland Isle, Scotland, Wales and England.
Simoné started her Career at CHS in 2007 until 2010, where she gathered so many countless memories and treasures these opportunities profoundly.
She is an amiable and outgoing person and she is comfortable communicating with people from diverse backgrounds, occupations and cultures. She thrives on challenges and quickly adapts to new environments and responsibilities

Vincent studied at ICA Chef School in Stellenbosch, where he enrolled for an advanced diploma in professional cheffing and pastry.
After completion of his course, Vincent started working at Terrroir restaurant as the front of house manager. That same year Terroir was awarded the much coveted “Eat Out Restaurant of the Year”, as well as the “Eat Out Service Award of the Year” (Oscars of South Africa’s restaurant industry)
Later Vincent joined Marcel’s Frozen Yoghurt as the head product developer. He developed a few ice cream flavours for Woolworths specifically, that can still be found on the shelves today, like the Vanilla Straciatella, as well as the Mint Stracciatella. Marcel’s Frozen Yoghurt was the first ice cream company to commercially produce a stracciatella ice cream, thanks to Vincent that corresponded with a company in the USA to manufacture a custom-made machine for the application. That year he won two gold medals at the South African Dairy Awards for his Vanilla Stracciatella Ice Cream, as well as his Mint Stracciatella Ice Cream.
Vincent joined the team at Capital Hotel School in February 2019, forming part of the Hospitalit-e team, where their primary focus is in-service training for various clients. Vincent is a facilitator in this department, as well as an administrator and material writing for new units will be his main focus.
Vincent has a big passion for travelling, collecting rare tropical plants, collecting antique furniture and loves all kinds of dogs. Needless to say, eating out and cooking is his biggest passion.
With over 11 years of experience in professional office Executive Assistant positions, Charmaine is a high-performing, results-driven assistant with extensive experience in event management, executive administrative support and business management. She is known for quickly grasping complex concepts while working in fast-paced environments to seamlessly and effortlessly insert herself into any project to deliver results.
Charmaine’s life goal is to make a measurable difference in the lives of others. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, interior design and international travel.

Cecile matriculated from Sentraal High School in Bloemfontein from where she immediately started her professional career, collecting valuable experience within the Marketing and Hospitality working environment.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Majoring in Marketing, and 3 years of valuable working experience in her pocket, she relocated to the Capital city.
Cecile started her career at CHS in August 2017.
Cecile’s real love for people, sensitive yet extroverted personality and devotion to making someone feel great about themselves (as they are all created beautifully perfect) makes her a treat to be around and to have part of a team.
Hein started his career in the Hospitality Industry 18 years ago when he started working for Fedics Food Services as a Beverage Manager at the Carousel Casino, close to Hammanskraal. Very soon, he was moved to the casino Hotel, where he became the Hotel Food and Beverage Manager. Once the business was established, he was moved by the company to manage Lotta Foods at Carnival City. During this time, he completed his National Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management.
During his career, he became interested in training and teaching and pursued a career in Hospitality Training. During this time, he was involved in training restaurants in Egypt, Sweden, Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan, as well as supporting stores in South Africa.
The Capital Hotel School and Training Academy welcomes Hein as a New Business Developer for the Training Academy. Hein is responsible for sourcing new clients, maintaining valuable client-relations and identifying training opportunities at our valued hospitality partners.
Chantel de Villiers

Chantel de Villiers joined the CHS team in April 2015. She is a Professional Accountant registered with SAIPA (South African Institute for Professional Accountants). She completed her studies at the University of Pretoria and obtained a B.Com Accounting Degree as well as her Honours Degree in Taxation. She completed her articles and obtained post-article experience at accounting firms and a corporate company.
She is detailed orientated, quick to smile and on the lookout for the positive in the situation. She enjoys working with people. She also enjoys exercising, being outside and spending time with loved ones. She still wants to travel overseas and learn an African language.
Raquel Ferreira Jardim Meyer matriculated from Clapham High School in 2007. After completing her schooling, she skilled herself in Photography & Design through the Visual Skills School (VSS). She completed the Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced Photography programmes as well as the Design Certificate through VSS.
Raquel was involved in exciting projects during her photography studies. She worked at Prestige Photographic Services, a photographic company specialising in “school photography” for 5 years.
She loves arts & crafts, writing for her blog and taking spontaneous trips as well as socialising with friends and family. Her goal is to inspire just ONE person. She believes that by helping one person make a positive change, to take a chance, or to try something new that she will be the catalyst in improving someone’s mindset for the benefit of their future.
She is a warm-hearted, open-minded, down-to-earth, honest and compassionate woman who strives in helping others to find the little joys within their lives and themselves.
